Managing users and channels

Account admins

• Can easily manage users and channels through the Quickbase Admin Console.

Realm and account admins

• Can ensure that business policies are enforced by choosing the specific Integration Channels that will be available.

Note: Realm and account admins have default access to pipelines when you choose to control access to pipelines.

Pipeline owners

• Can review detailed history of pipelines that have run, from the My Pipelines page, filtering the log history to quickly investigate usage patterns or troubleshoot configuration challenges.

Managing users (using legacy permission options)

Note: As of May 15, 2022, new permissions options for Pipelines are now available. New permission options allow you to select specific users and allow them to build pipelines using specific channels. To learn more about these options, see the Managing who can build pipelines article.

Using legacy permissions:

Once you are logged in as a realm or account admin:

1. On the My Apps page, click Quickbase Admin in the upper right and then click Manage the realm.This will bring you to the Admin Console.
   
2. Once in the Admin Console select the Permissions option along the left side of the page.
   
3. From the Account Permissions section you can:
   1. Allow anyone to access Pipelines
      Note: Selecting Allow anyone to access Pipelineson this page allows ALL users to have access to Pipelines and create automations and integrations.
      
   2. Set access and permissions to individual users.
      1. Select the Specify who can create apps option under Apps.
      2. In the Specify permissions section, either search or scroll to find an existing name.
      3. Once added, select the appropriate permission check boxes.
      4. Select Save near the upper right when you're done.
         

Managing channels

Once you are logged in:

1. On the My Apps tab, click on {Company Name} Admin in the upper right and then click on Manage the realm.This will bring you to the Admin Console.
   
2. Once in the Admin Console select the Pipelines option along the left side of the page.
   
3. From the Pipelines section of the Admin Console, the realm or account admin can turn access to channels on or off.
   Note: If a channel is turned off, any pipeline using that channel will be given a limited time to complete before being canceled.
