File Attachment |
iOS - If you select a file attachment, a new browser window opens and attempts to display the content. If there is an app registered to handle the content, a dialog displays asking if you want to open the attachment in that app. If the device does not have an app registered to handle that file type, a message displays indicating that the device cannot open the specified file type. When you close the message, you see an empty browser window. Close the window to return to the Quickbase record. Android - The Android operating system supports downloading various types of files, depending on the applications that you have installed on your smartphone or tablet. If you select a file attachment, and the device has an app registered to handle that file type, it downloads the file (which can then be opened in the Downloads app or from the notifications bar from the device's home screen). If the device does not have an app registered to handle that file type, a message displays indicating that the content is not supported and asks if you would still like to download to the file. |
