Transfer Ownership of an Application
Billing Account Administrators can transfer ownership of an application to another account.
Say you've created an application for a client in your Quickbase account. After a while, you want to transfer ownership of this application to your client's account, where it belongs. Billing Account Administrators can transfer an application to another account by transferring ownership of that application to a specific user in another account. That user must have permission to create applications within the destination account.
Notes:
-
No application transfer is complete until the user to whom you are transferring the application acts on the alert and accepts the transfer.
-
Only a billing account administrator or an individual with support-level permissions or greater to the account, can transfer ownership to another account.
Applications that are owned by a trial account or an account that is suspended cannot be transferred to a different billing account. In these cases, you can submit a request to Quickbase Customer Care to transfer application ownership.
To transfer ownership of an application to another account:
-
Click Apps.
-
Click the name of the application you want to transfer.
-
Click Transfer App.
(On certain service plans, you will click the change link to the right of the app manager's name instead.)
-
In the text box provided, enter the user name or email address of the Quickbase user to whom you want to transfer the application, and then click Next.
-
Make sure the user name or email address you entered is correct for the user you want to transfer the application to, and then click Next.
-
Tell Quickbase what to transfer:
-
If you want to retain the current app manager, click the Transfer just ownership radio button.
-
If you want to change the app manager, click the Transfer both management and ownership radio button.
Once you've made your selection, click Next.
-
-
Click Authorize Transfer to transfer the application and send an alert to the user to whom you are transferring the application. To complete the transfer, that user must accept the transfer. When the new app manager accepts the transfer, an alert email is sent to you.
